What do people use?

I need a 3'6 sweet itch rug but it need to be tough and to fit well. The only one I can find that looks like it'll be useful is a snuggyhoods at almost 200 quid!
Apart form the price...I found my cob overheated in his snuggyhoods so would prefer not to have one of those but need something that will withstand his playful field mate so no Boett's or similar.

Try Cornerstones browbands on ebay who will make sweet itch rugs made to measure to order and they are pretty good.

I got mine from equine clothing company - 3'9 - fits really well & is strong enough to withstand his two playful mini companions too :) but despite being decent thickness material he's never been too warm in it, even in the hot weather. It really worked for him too - actually managed to keep mane & tail intact! :)

Thanks Gloi...
Unfortunately these are similar to Boetts . I had one for my cob and it just wasn't up to the job. The elastic fittings all stretched and the fabric tore too easily . I need something tougher.

3.6 seems very small, i bought a 3.6 for my mini and it could really do with being a 3.8 or 4ft to be comfy. Ruggles rugs do them in summer
