hi - i'm thinking of buying my boy a sweet itch rug - has anyone had experience of any of the following: boett rug; snuggyhoods sweet itch rug; rambo sweet itch hoody; pessoa sweet itch hoody; pagony rug; demuelenkamp itch off rug
as this is going to be quite an expensive purchase i'd like some advice first please!!

I have had the Fal Silver interactive sweetitch rug. I would never buy another. Fabric frayed at the slightest thing, needed some modifications to stop it falling apart, nothing to cover the poll, no belly band. Fitted beautifully though. Lasted 3 weeks!!! Worst ever horsey purchase I have made.

The Rambo Sweetitch hoody is what I have now. Very good for anything but the most severe sweetitch sufferers. Fabric is fantastic, fit is nice, lovely long tail flap.
 
Have a snuggyhood sweetitch and it has been a lifesaver.He now looks amazing I have a cheaper version which I use once a week in the stable while I wash and dry the snuggyhood but wouldn't turn out in it as it does not cover his tummy
 
I have a Boett, which I got secondhand. It's doing the job really well, and my mare is totally cooperative now about having it pulled on and off over her head. I think she understands that it's helping her. I'm very very pleased with the results from using it, lovely smooth skin now and a full mane and tail both of which were erm tufty when we got her in January. (she's the roan one) I'm going to buy her another new one now, the one I got is rubbing her shoulders slightly, but then she is built like a tank.

You probably know this, but you will need to electric fence off the field so there is nothing to rub on and tear the rug.

boett had been brill for us and our very servere SI pony. First year not a rip in it, second year as it was worn he managed to rip it. Got a new one this year and it is alredy ripped, so not so much luck this year but we will see

I've been really pleased with the Demuelenkamp rug & can vouch for their customer service being very good too.
