Is it possible to do a test for sweet itch? I asked the vet today, as my youngster had been kicked in the field so she was there anyway. I asked if she could do a skin scrape or something to see if he has it. She said no need as the itching he does seems to be like it. he hates any flies on him and rubs any part of his body that gets bitten. Very sensitive skin. I use Netex and baby oil but have just had a delivery of oils to make a flyspray. At the mo he has a full mane and tail but did rub both last year. He's in a fly rug and bonnet so looks a right wolly.
