Hi there,
I would love some advice from anyone with experience of anything similar please.
My horse has today jumped at home (on a surface) and i took her saddle off to find that on the near side she had an area of swelling behind the shoulder, about half way down her body. She was very hot underneath the whole saddle if this is of any influence. It didn't seem tender to touch.
She always has a slight bulge on both sides in that exact place but it feels like muscle, and is never bigger on the near side!
She has her back checked by the physio regularly and has had her saddle checked in the past two months and it was pronounced as a perfect fit - she lets me know pretty fast if it's not quite right too!
So, any ideas what it could be - is this the location of a gland or anything? And any ideas why it may have swollen and what i could do about it?
Thanks so much!
