When I come to my boy in the morning I find that his back legs have swollen up- this started about a month ago and I found it unusual as he isn't in any strenuous or hard work. I school him most of the time and occasionally hack him out so he's kept mostly of soft surfaces. On he's been turned out the swelling immediately goes down and his legs are back to normal. He appears to be sound so can't be causing him too much trouble. When this first started to happen I cold hosed his legs but the only thing that really works is exercise. It just seems to be a build up of fluid. Is there anything I can do to help him? I have seen some boots advertised that have cold crystals in them, you soak them in water an put them on for 20 mins- didn't know if anyone had used these and whether they work or not?? Help
