Two different things, 1 thread :)

First - Resivoirs, would you let your dog swim/paddle in them ? I was at the resivoir with another dog walker today and he let his dog in the water as there is a seperate 'pond' next to the dog park. The 'pond' has a concrete bottom, as opposed to mud and it is clear. Would you let your dog in it ?

Ouch, Took biscuit out jogging. Went to run through some grass and foot got stuck in a pothole, trust it to be my bad ankle as well and not my half decent one. Vet wrapped it and shall see if I can walk tommorow, its the same hole that I did my knee in with as well :/

Biscuit was a star though, he came back and lay next to me until I could get up.

I would let him in the water so long as it was fairly clear (no algae). Reservoirs in this country don't go straight into the drinking water supply so a bit of dog drool isn't going to hurt anyone:)

Ouch, your poor ankle:( Elevation and an icepack are in order, I think!

I let mine in the reso although get in trouble if the warden turns up :p As spudlet says watch out for blue green algae though.
And OUCH!

Depends on the Reservoir and if it was open access or members only and if it was used for recreational use as opposed to being a nature reserve.
