Hi,

I'm looking for some help please? I need a new rain sheet for my boy and I was wodering if anyone had any opinions on these rugs? I have a shires sheet just now buy its only 600 denier so not that water proof or deep for him. I treated him to a premier equine rug but his field mates have ripped it so I'm not keen on spending too much money as it will probably happen again! I was thinking of getting the 1200 denier no fill rug so any thoughts would great!

Thanks .

I have the 50g fill rug and actually feel its quite a budget rug. The outer fabric is still intact but I get a couple of patches of condensation on the rump of most horses that wear it so don't think it's that breathable. The eyelets on the straps have gone rusty quite quickly too.

I have the 1200 denier no fill rug for both my boys and find them excellent quality. They are both a bit boisterous out in the field and so far the rugs have stood up well to the amount of pulling and tugging they get. I buy all my rugs from Swish now as they are good value for money. I had a medium weight for my section D this winter and he has been very warm and comfortable in it.

I've got a couple of them and really rate them - totally waterproof through all the horrendous rain we've had last summer!

Thanks so much for all of the positive responses. Im excited now to get my boy one! Think ill need it with all of the rain we've had! Thanks again :)

Great rugs, I have a few of them for both my lads, they have done there 3rd winter now and only two of them have minor rips in, but we have youngsters in the field so thats to be expected. Great value for money, I like they do lighter weights at 50g and 100g, much better for my lads.

Gorgeous rugs, I have a purple heavyweight and a 75g lightweight. Both are a superb fit and makes the horse very shiny.

Swish Equestrian? Yes, fab rugs! I bought a couple for my new horse and honestly can say they're some of the best rugs I've ever had (and i've had quite a collection over the years!). They fit my pony/cobby type really nice, especially around the shoulders where I find other rugs gape on him. They are waterproof - I had a PE that leaked like anything - they have so far lasted well, stay in place and are well made/good quality, especially for the money.

The only slight criticism I would have is that I bought the red one in a 6ft, in 75g and 200g weights but they are really quite different sizes. The 75g is quite a bit longer than the 200g, which is a bit odd. He could really have done with a 6ft3 in the 200g but it's a minor thing. Otherwise, great rugs :)

I have the 100g turnout for mine, it fits well (although their website says if a horse is in between sizes go with the smaller size I ended up going with the bigger size) Mine has pretty much lived in this rug this winter and it has come out the other side still in great condition, not had any problems leaking, straps breaking etc, it's about to go off for it's first wash so hopefully it'll come back looking like new. Considering it cost about £40 really can't complain and once other rugs die off think I'll be replacing them with Swish ones :)

Brilliant, i have a rambo and mark todd that dry really quickly and are really light, and a PE and Amigo which are heavy and take forever to dry so I want to replace them.

Have already emailed Swish a stock question and they emailed back in minutes :-)
