I have recently bought an IVECO horsebox and there is a switch on the dashboard - immediately above the drivers side ashtray - which I can not find a purpose for. Does anyone know what it might do???

Apparently lay outs vary so does it look like an original switch or something some one has added. Have you pulled it out, does it have any wires attached to it? What does it look like?

No symbol. Its a pull switch and seems to have some heavy duty wires attached.

Not had an Iveco so not sure if its original or not..

OH says unlikely to be original as its a pull switch. Heavy cables suggests could have been something like a loading light but that could be anything really. Need someone to trace the wires for you.

If its just a aftermarket type switch that looks different to the other rocker switches?? it could have been to isolate a tail lift or as op said loading lights when it had a different body or before it was made into a horsebox....

We have something similar and was told it was originally there to operate the rear tail lift.

Not checked it or had it traced though but thought we would if we decided to use the wiring.

Thanks for that.. that sounds quite likely .. and would be the reason we can't find anything it operates!
