Swollen boobies after being spayed?? Is that ok?

Sorry, me again!!! I miss Cala!!

So Star is fine, but Buffy is quite swollen, my dad wanted me to ask as he is really worried because Buffy is swollen and Star isn't, but I would have thought swelling would be quite acceptable and every dog will react differently??

She is reasonably cheerful and eating fine.

Thoughts anyone???

TBH i think its pretty normal isnt it?! And if shes fine in herself, eating etc then i wouldnt worry! Or even call your vet and ask what they think! Our vets are very good and willing to help you out, only a phone call away!! So ask them if it persists!

Thank you. I thought it was pretty normal too, it's just that we had them both done together and and one has and one hasn't.... but all dogs are different I guess.

the only thing i would say is watch how much you are feeding her as it could be down to that. when mine were speyed i cut their food right down and played it by ear if i thought they were dropping weight i gradually upped the food. id rather have to put weight on them than try and get it off a speyed bitch

but yeah id just call the vet and ask

No it is definitely swelling, she's not getting fat already! It has gone down a bit now, I think is just due to the soreness of her wound.
