Swollen front legs and lumps

My horse has developed a large lump on his left side under the saddle along with some very swollen front legs. Two other horses on the yard seem to have developed something similar with lumps under the saddle and the front legs being swollen and warm. There's no lameness in them and not a great deal of discomfort other than if the saddle manages to rub the lumps. My horses legs have started to go down now but the lumps remain and are causing some hair loss.

They're all getting hibiscrubbed and put on the walker twice daily to keep the leg swelling down but it's a very strange illness that I've never come accross before. We've not had a radical changes in feed / shavings / washing powder to attribute it to.

Anyone else come accross something like this and if so, did it just get better or did it require any other treatment?

Thanks

Not had a very out to look at it yet as his front legs are going down and we've only just started to realise the other two horses might have the same. My next step will be be to call the vet out but wanted to give it 48hrs or so to see if it went away first.
