Swollen knee and leg.

Hi my 12 year old warm blood has come in from the field with a swollen leg! She is not hoping lame on it but is not moving quite right( not sure if this is down to the swelling!) I've hosed and put cooling gel on and the vet is due out tomorrow anyway. I can't see any wounds or punctures of the skin. There is slight heat in but that's about it. The swelling starts above her and knee and continues down to the fetlock. Any ideas as to what it could be?

hope its nothing too serious. My previous horse used to get swollen legs at this time of year. Vet said it was an allergy to something in the grass. Or perhaps a small puncture wound. Do you have Hawthorn hedges?
 
Can't quote as on my phone but thanks everyone! She was fine vet seems to think she's had a kick or knock and is just a bit sore but no serious damage!
