hi my horses leg swelled up little while ago from knee down, vet came and said it was probly a infection from thorn so gave him injection etc.

it has swollen up again, he is not lame and it is not hot to touch, could it actually be a splint or has he just tweaked it again in the field as he did go bit crazy on sunday. it is front leg again same one as last time

i would just phone the vet agian to be on the safe side. it could be that there is i thorn or soething in the limb, that has been agrivated. or it could be nothing. just better to get it checked out. good luck. x
 
Could it be lymphangitis? I only ask as three horses (including mine!) at my yard have got it over the last month, all in different fields. I'm wondering it it's something to do with the soil/ground being so hard? Mine went down within days but one of the others has taken well over a week to go down. i was told if they have it once they will be prone to getting it again.
