Swollen Leg?

Ok, so big lad has a big lump on the front of his leg, its warm and fluidy. The swelling also extends to the fetlock area. There is a small (like miniscule) graze on the front of it. Have some pictures (not sure if its clear though!)
He doesn't seem lame but couldn't get a good trot up. He is a bit depressed, which is what he does when he has an 'ouchy' and he is a tiny bit tender on it.
Now, bearing in mind he bowled through several jumps on sat (was a tiny bit of heat on sunday, not checked since then) do you think this is anything to worry about? He is going to see the vet on thurs anyway for back/teeth check. I have hosed it off, he's had ice-cool bandages on and is tucked up in bed.

Sorry about your boy's 'ouchy'. Well I'm not a vet but my first thought would be a bad bruise. Good thing you have the vet coming. Sounds like you are doing the right thing with the cold hosing etc. Let us know what the verdict is. Thanks for the pics. Good luck!
