swollen legs when stabled

my 2 year old gelding gets swollen legs in the morning after being stabled the night before. only his back legs. is this common ?

Yes very, shouldnt worry about it aslong as he walks it off.

sisters hourse suffers from this and is not lame, we don't worry about as it goes when he is let out to the field or being ridden

This often happens when horses are stabled on a concrete floor. My mare often had filled legs regardless as to how deep her bed was. Once I swapped to rubber matting she stopped getting filled legs and was less stiff.

when i done work experience at moreton morrell, this stallions legs swelled up because he was in the stable for long hours at a time, it is something to do with the fluid fillinf his tendons, he just wore stable bandages when stabled.

thanks a just worry he also hates his back feet picked up think hes just spoiled
