When I went to turn my horse out this morning three of her legs were swollen. Her near hind was the worst, it was pretty big and very slightly warm. There are no cuts or scabs on her legs.
The other hind was slightly swollen and her near fore was swollen too. Her off fore was fine. Her legs dont swell up at night so it was a bit strange. The swelling seemed to be worse above her fetlock joints.
Shes not lame so I turned her out.
Im wondering wether she was galloping round her field yesterday and thats why they have come up but its never happened before and it is really strange that its in 3 legs and of varying degrees in each leg.
Any ideas of what could have caused this?
If it doesnt go down with turnout and exercise, i'll call the vet but I dont want to jump the gun when shes not lame.
Thanks
