ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE :)

I have a young tb horse who injured himself on some fencing about month ago. He had some superficial wounds to his off hind leg and a small lump on the front of his fetlock. He was given antibiotics by vet in case of infection and said there was just superficial damage. Had box rest for a week, with exercise in-hand walking to reduce swelling of leg and cold hosing, which helped!! Was never lame and the wounds healed brilliantly without scarring. The boney lump on front of fetlock however, has never reduce/increased but doesnt bother him at all (even when i touch it).

The main swelling has gone down on the leg but there are some fluid pockets on either side of the leg that resemble something like windgalls. It has not bothered me too much as he is happy to exercise gently on the leg and has never shown any signs of lameness. There are also similar pockets of fluid on other hind leg (hence y i have be thinking widngalls and recent trauma to leg??) The pockets are fairly squidgey and there is no heat anywhere in the leg. The boney lump is the same also.

He has been exercised on soft arenas and work is light as he is still young. I have researched windgalls further and it appears very similar to what he's got (I am now aware there are a few different types of widngalls). However, someone suggested to me that they dont think they are windgalls and I should get it scanned as they believe it could be something more sinister??

Advice please..........
