Hi, I hope someone can help!
Today I noticed that my horse had a swollen anus. There was nothing there this morning so it has come on very quickly. It was soft and watery and about the size of a golf ball. It did not appear to be painful and she was happy to let me check it.
Now what is bizarre is another horse on the farm had exactly the same thing on Thursday. The vet came out and wasn't too concerned, just prescribed Bute.
She seems fine in herself, is going to the toilet fine etc. The vet is coming tomorrow but he had no idea what caused this in the first horse.
Any ideas what could have caused this? Could it be something they have eaten in the field? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
