swop hay to haylage

can anyone remember the rule of thumb for how much weight of haylage to feed as compared to hay?

my horse currently gets 15kg of hay per day plus hardfeed

i was thinking that once he is fully switched 20kg is about the right ball park?

its not analysed haylage but i would say the moisture content is lower than say equilage

I think it's higher than that, as I remember it is nearly double.

I just give my horses as much as they want. Basically feed the same amount of haylage as you would hay. The moisture content is higher in haylage obviously making it heavier, but if you feel your horse needs more then feed it! Look at your horses condition, I'm sure that will tell you!
