My 3yr old cob is very sensitive around along her crest toward her whiter area, the usual shaking when you touch the area even with firm pressure so its not like am tickling her. When am on her if he reins touch this area she gets annoyed. Its def not pain in the back or whiters, absolutely no reaction when pressed, so obv an annotying tickling sensation??. Also she hates her mane being combed especially these areas.
So, yesterday i noticed it looked as though she had been rubbing her mane slightly and certainly her dock
had a rummage through the hair and unable to see anything raw or sore but will check again today.
Does this sound like sweet itch and if so would it cause her to be very sensitive? never had a problem with sweet itch on any horse i have owned in the past, so help or advice would be good. Thanks
