Please post sympathetic notes and feel better wishes here for Simsar.

She is poorly and I am hopeless at sympathy so any help so she feels better would be very gratefully recieved.

the jungle drums have reached North Norfolk. Even sodding mobiles don't work here! I'm really sorry to hear that your not well. Bloody horrible, isn't it?

Chin up girl, you'll be better soon, and even more ready for battle!! A huge hug is en route, but keep it to yourself, or they'll all want one!!

OMG! Thank guys how very sweet. I didn't know you cared. I must have my tonsils taken out. That would be great and then I could bury (how do you spell that?) them in the muck heap LOL!

Very funny, but better than trying to swallow a golf ball, which the poor old tingywing is currently attempting!

Simsar, ice-cream's a waist of time. Booze, that's what you need. It's Dr. Alec's cure all. It doesn't actually cure anything, you just don't care quite so much!

We expect you to be fighting fit, in a day, or perhaps two! Get well very soon.

I went to the doctors. He said 'I'd like you to lie on the couch'.
I said 'What for?'
He said 'I'd like to sweep the floor'

I went to the doctors. He said 'What appears to be the problem?'.
I said 'I keep having the same dream, night after night, beautiful girls rushing towards me and I keep pushing them away'.
He said 'How can I help?'.
I said 'Break my arms!'

I went to the doctor the other day,
I said 'it hurts when I do that'
he said ' well don't do it'
 
Right thats it I am going to develop a cold! In fact I am going to go for man flu for full effect! Not only do you get booze but hugs and a digression onto Bury St Edmunds! Hero! I am green with envy! I shall have to call myself a toad soon!

If that is not big sympathy I don't know what is!!!

Hope your not feeling too rotten but it is 8pm now so you should be well into the grog!

I am off to find the odd gay and lovie to hug and air kiss - speak to you tomorrow!
 
Pad that is the kindest thing anyone has done for me put a post on a forum you are very special and when you are poorly I will have to do something similar. x

I have Tonsilitus, but sitting at home reading these lovely posts they are very heart warming, **** what has happened to me! Ive come over all funny in the head LOL but I'm fine and getting on with it. Thank you for your Hugs.x
 
Hum. Next thing, she'll be wearing fluffy bunny slippers and where will THAT end?

(I have to confess here - I once had a pair of fluffy slippers shaped like mallards. The postman nearly died when faced with them :o)

I have had a horrid cough for over a week now, wish they would take my tonsils out but can't pursuade them too!

Get a wee dram down you or two!
 
Ewww poor you. Thats yuk. Alec is actually on to something there. Might not be medically proven, but gargle vodka or whiskey (needs to a decent proof....4% rubbish wont cut it!). And if it doesnt help with the infection and sweeling, you will so piddled you wont care anymore!!!

Now I get called "special" all the time... I am never sure if its a compliment or an insult!!! ;)

I hate being poorly I am literally the worlds worst patient ever. I try to do too much get grumpy because I can't get it all done then flop.

My poor horses are used to me flopping about in wheel chairs/ crutches/ tied up in casts etc! Its probably why they are so bomb proof!

Its horrible when you are poorly though isn't it. Rotten luck.
