Hi

I am considering a dressage saddle - I currently have a Thorowgood T4 GP for my MW 14.2 mare. I have always had Thorowgood GP saddles and like their T6 leatherlook. I have thought about trying the Wintec 500 dressage with flair but there is a big difference in the price and I am wondering if there are negatives with the Wintecs.

I have read some good comments about them being ok for starting you off but have also read that they put you in a bad position and you can feel quite 'perched'.

I am also asking around about 2nd hand leather saddles but any feedback good or bad re the synthetics would be really appreciated.

Many thanks.

I have the wintec synthetic Isabella Werth dressage saddle & love it! I found it corrected my position for me, making me more upright as opposed to leaning forwards. I find it really comfortable & will go out hackin in it for several hours. Bought mine second hand of ebay for about £300
