Synthetic GP saddle for unaff dressage - does it matter?

My horse has voted with his feet despite numerous saddler visits - the saddle he goes best in is a GFS genesis APX which belongs to my youngster. The dressage version with the same gullet width, he goes ok (and I really like riding in..) in but is a bit more resistant in walk. He has 2 albions, both which 'fit' fine in theory but there's something I can't quite put my finger on... I think he finds them just a bit restrictive..
So does it really matter if I turn up with a (clean) synthetic (equisuade) GP instead of an immaculate albion?
Does it make much difference to the judges' perception, or would they rather just see the horse moving freely without resistance at this level? He goes fine in his other saddles, but is a dream in the APX, instantly soft and rounded, which makes me think there is something not quite right despite reflocking and numerous numnah/pro-lite pad trials with the saddler in every conceivable combination with his other saddles!

Excellent, thanks! Thought as much TBH but I'm a bit new to this competition malarky, and I don't want to be like the new kid at school who turns up with the wrong bag. I'm only going out to give him an outing anyway, so I should probably worry less:rolleyes::rolleyes:
