Having not come across them much, I'm just wondering how they compare with the more traditional wooden tree. I'm assuming they may not last as long as a wooden tree saddle? I also assume synthetic trees came on to the saddle market originally for cost and lightness reasons or do they tend to be used for fitting/adjustability differences that you might not get with a wooden tree or should there be no difference as the adjustments to a saddle come from other parts of the saddle. Just curious as to their benefits/advantages.
