I love my leather saddle so comfy. But new yard has no lock up tack room so unless I risk baking my saddle to a crispin the car I am going to have to get a synthetic one. What is everyones experiences of these?
Hi, I have a synthetic Wintec Wide saddle for sale at the min and it was really comfy, just didnt fit my horse anymore as she has lost weight and changed shape since I bought her.Its a shame really as it is in really fab condition, no marks, scratches dents or anything on it, looks almost brand new. I've now bought a leather one and have it say it is just as comfy as the synthetic one.
I've got a couple of Wintec's too as they're left in storage for a long time when I'm not able to ride. Good thing is they don't go mouldy and you don't have to spend hours cleaning them. That said!, I do love to clean my tack (very theraputic and a good excuse to spend 24/7 at the yard). I have an old Stubben which is a nice little saddle too but goes mouldy and I'm worried about cracking too. I can't comment on any other saddles as I just stick to what I know I'm afraid.
I have a Wintec 2000 and I love it. It has leather billet straps though, so I wouldn't leave it in the car for any length of time. Also, if someone passed by and knew how much saddles were worth, they might just break into my car and steal it!
