T-Bar stirrup Leathers

They haven't stretched, although I've only been using them for a year so don't know how they'll be when they're really old.

They have certainly been tested pretty thoroughly (I have a very bucky youngster) but no problems so far!

No stretching? I'm sure they'd still stretch. Wouldn't they? They'd still be pulling on the leather.
I don't think I'd trust them show jumping or on XC with all the movement but I have to confess I'm a traditional girl. Buckles all the way!
They certainly take up less space and are less bulky....

The Jeffries ones aren't all leather - they have a webbing core so they are really strong, and I don't think webbing can stretch.

It's worth getting expensive ones, I wouldn't trust any cheap stuff.

I have the Jefferies ones - great for flatwork but you wouldn't catch me jumping in them in a million years, I like my life!

Sorry, but my fear would be that the t-bar would come back through if your horse threw an awkward jump. How many top pros do you see using them for jumping? ;)

Ok Im sure Im being really dim :o
But I just google image'd T bar stirrups. How do they attatch on to your saddle??? :S
I dont like the look of them, that flimsy little bar is the only thing keeping your legs and irons attatched to the saddle :O

Into my second set, wore the others out, I love them, no bulk under the leg, easy to adjust and remember which slot, I have hacked, handy ponied, forest cross, cross country, show jumped, never been a problem, my jumping isn't anything special, mostly 2ft, max of 3ft, but on a 14.2 pony they work for me.:)

I have some :)

I loved them, until one of the t bars popped out. Probably my fault but I dont trust them really now so only use them rarely. I heard afterwards of two other people the same thing happened to and one of them was badly hurt.
