Why is it suddenly impossible to buy anything that isn't sparkly or shiny or fluffy???

Call me boring, but I like nice, plain coloured tack, headcollars, lead ropes, brushes etc.

I walk into a tackshop now, and everything is either covered in sparkles or is fluffy... I mean is there any need to have Swarovski on a saddle cloth? Or to have a strip of shiney stuff wound in a sprial down a schooling stick... grr!
 
Its not impossible :confused:

Ive never bought anything blingy or glittery, and the only things fluffy Ive bought are sheepskin mits. Plenty of regular non sparkly stuff available.

Know what you mean - last time I was in Robinsons I wanted a new pair of stirrup irons. They either had horrifically expensive Sprenger types or "normal" ones but with ruddy diamante down the side! I just wanted ordinary stirrup irons!
 
I'm with you on this, it's blimin' irritating. My boy is a big handsome tb and looks lovely as he is. He does not need fluff, sparkles or diamente. Plain all the way for us. I nearly died when I had to give in and buy him furry lined overreach boots because all the other ones rub him raw, I hated having to give in to the fluffy nonsense!
 
I agree whole-heartedly.

Similarly, why to manufactures of clothing for horsey types make soooooooooooo much stuff in baby blue and pink? I don't want to dress like I am 11, and those colours look awful on me.


(Although, as most Joules etc hoodies seem to cost about 65-quid its a moot point anyway as I can't actually afford them :rolleyes:)
