Hello

Wondered if any of you could upload any pics of horses that have done well at RC level tack and turnout & also Best Combination - what do they look for. We have a class in a fortnight & have read up on hints and tips, but would really like to see pics of successful entrants! Thanks v much.

You need to give the pony a very very good bath, make sure you get right to the roots of his mane, then your plaits should be as even sized as possible and you need an odd number going up the neck, you also should sew them in.
You need to make sure you turnout to type and make sure everything is immaculately clean, including the bottom of your stirrup irons and bottom of your boots.

we did the ride & style & appearence (i think its like best combination) at a county show last week, and we won it!

this was in another class, but we had the same tack for the other class as well.

i treated the style & appearance like a riding horse class - short show etc. you need to be very clean and quarter marks are always a good thing!

Sophie won tack and turnout at Tweseldown last weekend.....

We got 98% and only lost 1 point for her joddy boots (clean but a little scuffed

) and 1 point for merlins bridle, assume it was coz the flash strap has gone a bit lighter than the rest of the bridle...... but overall I was delighted!!!

Yes but make sure that you can run your fingers through the mane and tail without getting snagged

It should also be very very clean, no greasy or dusty roots!!

Can you tell that I judged last years TTO...??
