tack cleaning..

So as my horse is on box rest so whilst hes out of action i need something to keep me amused, and i really need to clean my tack, but ive run out of saddle soap..

Is there anything else i can use? My saddles a wintec so can just wipe that, and my bridles an old leather one.
 
You need to buy some more! :)

Youo really can't clean leather with anything but! Wash it with warm water with a drop or two of Fairy liquid, then when dry you can rub in a little olive oil but the most suitable stuff to clean your gear is saddle soap and oils designed especially for leather.

If you are not going to get to ride for some timie then once the leather has dried cover with Petroleum Jelly and place in a plastic bag and seal.
