Thrilling subject, I know!

I've got a black Ideal event saddle and the leather almost has a bit of green tinge to it.. Can anyone recommend something to clean it with that may restore the colour? Is there such thing? If not I'm looking for a decent cleaner, usually use one step but I'm not that impressed.

Thank you

Never thought about my white breeches Especially if at an event in the rain!

I will try to contact ideal but if they can't help then try the above link..thank you!

Don't use a cleanser - old fashioned white cotton dish cloth from the supermarket, hand hot water and elbow grease. The a good conditioner like Sedgwick or that from cremedemonthe - www.unicornleather.co.uk. Too many have solvents in, anything deemed to be used in one step should be poured down the sink.

Err.................. I don't agree lol
OP asks about how to get her expensive veg tan leather saddle back to "as new", not "how to clean my tack?"

Rapide is good. They have a cleanser and also a leather cream which restores colour (I use it on me leather bags and boots as well!)

The last time I cleaned my saddle, I resorted to using a very expensive Clinique cleanser meant for my face. It did a lovely job on the leather, which is good, because it really doesn't suit my skin! #repurposing - I think that's what the young people would say :D

The main reason I never buy black tack, it doesn't age gracefully. You can get it re dyed, best done by a saddler though.
