Last weekend I had an eventing clinic. It was recomended that when competing xc I should use an over girth. Not sure if that's what it's called but it goes over the saddle and is elastic/stretchy.
Anyway I was wondering where to look for one?

Generally they are not used nowadays as they prevent the stirrup iron from coming off the saddle in the event of a fall.

Make sure that your girth and girth tabs have sound stitching.

Ok, thanks guys. I've never had horses I can compete cross country on before. So I was unsure of the right thing to do as I didn't think I'd seen many people with them.
