I'M BACK AGAINNNNN WITH THE TACK QUESTIONS ;)
A. Brown tack on a bay??? Opinions ( not that it's too late or anything cause spent almost thousands on tack ;)
Secondly:
Opinions on bridles and breastplates?! What are they!? Like is it good leather etc!?

I like brown tack on anything!
Not a fan of kincade, you want better quality tbh.

You can get some brilliant new/nearly new bargains on ebay so if you have a budget to work on then that would be a good place to look - makes like barnsby, jefferies, fylde saddlery are worth getting.

Brown tack on a bay is perfect IMO.
As for kincade tack im interestted in finding out about then as looking to buy a grackle noseband, seem to be the only make that have one cheap enough :D

I LOVE YOU ALREADY! Hahahaha!
Well i ordered a breastplate and bridle from them, not yet used and them but they're suchhhh a nice material, definately reccomend and they LOOK like an averagely expensive piece of tack! My breastplate is gorgeous!
Asfor youuuu :) The grackles are REALLY NICE! Have a look on equestrian clearance!:) & They also delivery amazingly fast :) & have lots of kincade :)

I have a kincade bridle for every day use. It's not bad, with a lot of effort it can scrub up not bad but leather isn't really the best. However, in have seen/smelt worse!

Kincade is pretty vile IMHO, the leather even smells cheap when new, you know that horrible smell, and the fit is questionable. Cheeks etc stretch very quickly as well. If you want cheap and ok quality go for collegiate or gas. If you can afford bottom end Jeffries or caldene they're good, my bridles are lasting very well.

bsjalove, I do, looks ok to me :) dark havana though, dont know if id like one of these light browns on a black

kirsty, i have one too that came with a horse. No its not the worst bridle ive ever seen, the leather is rubbish but it does a job.
Ive got a shocking bad one came off ebay, it smells of curry, leather is like cardboard, and I wouldnt like to meet the horse it was designed to fit :D
One for the bin , next to that the kincade looks a lot better haha

Actually use a Kincaid as sons show bridle as it was the only one I could find small enough with a flat hunter noseband and it still looks great after 6 years. Only cleaned occasionally and used a lot more than it should be cause I am to lazy to change bridles after shows but still cleans up great.

Most saddles I fit are only stocked in brown so we often have the conversation with people with black horses - at least 50% who thought they wanted black end up liking and having the brown. It's a really dark neutral brown and makes most black horses look blacker . I too like brown tack on all colours.

kincade is ok as general everyday bridlework, both the ponies have kincade bridles and they clean up ok and the old pony had his for 7 years and it didn't stretch hardly at all.

My shetland wears a kincade bridle, its ruined after only being used through the summer and I wouldn't recommend any of their tack. Its cleaned weekly (he's ridden or lunged 6 days per week) and well looked after. After reading about reins snapping i'm off to order a decent one before my daughters does the same!
