Tack shops Herts/Bucks..please help!

I'm looking for a tack shop in the west herts/bucks border area that will do a 'borrow a bit' Does anywhere still do this??
You used to sign for it and borrow it to check it's the right fit etc, then you would return it and buy one....i might be going back many years but wondered if anyone knew??

Nope can't say i have, only prob is that i need to get hold of one by end of sunday really....never straight forward!

Sheilas used to do that and im pretty sure it still does, if it doesnt then she will just buy any you buy back off you, normally for more than you paid in the first place!! Its Catlips farm

P.S. Catlips has been around since my mum was a teenager and so it is going back a bit

Just taken a look at their site - not just bits but lots of useful background info. Will certainly consider next time I need to try a bit before purchasing. Also, month trail is good. I think this allows enough time to decided if your horse is happy in his mouth or not.

GW Titmuss (or horseworld) are pretty good. you can try it on etc and as long as the bit doesn't look used you can return it.
