Tack shops in Lincolnshire/Derbyshire (or anywhere nearby!)?

Hi everyone

Can anybody recommend a good tack shop near Lincoln or Derby (boyfriend lives in one, I live in the other so near either one or between the two is ok!). I'm in need of a new hat, so looking for somewhere that has a good range (preferably including champion/Charles Owen) and knowledgable staff, would rather buy from a shop than the Internet! Can anyone help?

I can google myself I'm looking for a bit of local knowledge here, we all know that some tack shops are better than others, I'm looking for people's recommendations

I live near Derby and will need a new hat soon. I won't be bothering with any of the local shops...

Hmmm, not sure about travel but Retford Saddlery is about 30 min from Lincoln and very good. There is also Spondon Saddlery and Risley Saddlery Derby way. I think Risley is prob about 20 minutes.

I can also rate Retfords service having had 2 hats from them recently

When at uni I treated Retford as my local saddlery and couldn't recommend it more. It's amazing. Definitely worth the journey from Derby!

There are two other saddlers in Melton one on the road near to the cattle market and Mole Valley have a small store too

Eland Lodge at Draycott in the Clay, near Derby is lovely. I've just bought a hat from there and can highly recommend
