Tack shops in Wales?

I'm off to Wales for hols next week and wondered if anyone knew of any tack shops worth a visit. Am in need of some bits and pieces for a show the week we get back!

We are going to be a mile from Trefeglwys or about 4 miles from Llanidloes. Happy to go up to about 30 mile radius!!

I'm from South Wales so don't know mid Wales too well. The only one I know of anywhere near there is Llwynon in Sennybridge - probably a bit far away to be honest (maybe 45 miles?), They have a really good range and Graham is very knowledgeable. I take my horse up to him (90minute trip) to have his saddle fitted. He's excellent and he makes any alterations there and then in his workshop and you get the saddle back that day so the trip is worth it!
 
Hi, thanks for the reply, checked it out on the AA router and its 60 miles from where we are....don't think I'll be able to convince non-horsey OH to go that far!!

That far?! I'm useless with distances. Can't see a stride showjumping and have no idea how long a mile really is either!

Don't know which direction you are heading in from but there is quite a good tack shop in Meifod near Welshpool. Very much a saddlers though, so if you are wanting clothes probably not your best bet. But a good 'proper' tack shop with no pink rubbish!
 
there is one not to far from llaniloes past llangurig on the road to aberystwyth but i think its quite small, other wise there is 1 in talybont bout 30 miles which is quite nice, 1 in aberystwyth its self and 1 in bow street which is close to talybont bout 5 miles further (just finished at aberystwyth university!!!) also there is a big wynnstay store in newtown which is bout 5 miles from llanidloes which is good (make sure you lock your car doors in newtown though

) and incase you go in the agri merchants in llanidloes dosent sell any horse things at all and wont be helpful in giving you directions!!! (i know he is my OH's best friend!!!) hope that helps
