As some of you may have seen from my many posts recently, I've just moved to South Oxfordshire.

Could anyone tell me where there are good tack shops for general every day items (don't want to buy online and pay for postage when I just want a new water brush for example!).

I'm looking for somewhere South of Oxford - I'm living in Watlington (nr j6 of M40), working in Oxford and my horse will be near j8 of M40 at Waterstock. So somewhere near one of those would be good, but if not anywhere vaguely nearby. I've done a quick google search but couldn't find anywhere?

Thanks

o poo - I passed through there and always stopped to buy something I didnt need ...

Think it's something boring like a hairdressers now :-(
I used to boycott the chippie next door as they made an anti comment to me once when I went in after hunting.

There is one in the covered market in Oxford city centre I think. Dennis's just outside Aylesbury. Other than that I only know ones in the Wycombe area. Widmer Feeds at Lacey Green is quite large. I think there is one at Stokenchurch too which is nearer you. Might be called Dobbin's Clobber? Sorry to be vague

There's a tiny shop in Garsington called Seeneys which is part of a larger chain of shops around Oxford so they can order stuff in if needed. They are a bit on the pricey side and don't carry a huge range of stock but are good for emergencies and popping in for bits and bobs.

As other have already said, Eileen Douglas in Henley is Fab.

There's also a big place called Widmere Feeds out near Princess Risborough which is worth a trip!

There's a tiny one in the covered market in central Oxford - they have jods and the odd bridle etc so something like a water brush they may well have!
