Over the last three nights, tack has been stolen in Newton, Freckleton/Warton and Thistleton. Seem to be single visits to each location, one was definitely late afternoon, 4.30 -5.00pm. Possible red herring was a black Vauxhaul Corsa type car which visited a neighbour of one targetted stable, containing at least one young Irish lad touting for business (doing roofing) but possibly casing the yard. Reason for mentioning this is this visit occurred late pm on the same day, just next door.
Doubtful large quantity of tack could have been carried in the car as the impression was it had at least two people in it - however, a cream/white Sherpa van was also seen parked in the area with two young lads in. All speculation I admit, but spotted and reported after the event

by alert types in my village.

At one location, some old rugs were also taken - police said probably used to carry the tack in as a bundle.

Fylde peeps be warned!

We do have all new security now and all saddles postcoded. Am also pleased to say there has been a lot more police presence around too see the van or community support office daily.
