Tack Stolen! Need recommended Saddler, Cheshire area

Hi,

If anyone can recommend a decent saddle fitter in the Stockport/Cheshire area I would greatly appreciate it.

I arrived at my yard today to find that our tack has all been stolen! To make it worse I only bought mine 2 weeks ago and was a second hand Albion saddle, which are hard to find 😳😔 Our livery yard is also a riding school and every single saddle and bridle has gone, tack that people have worked hard for to buy & a lot are decent makes and quality. Children's saddles for their ponies have all gone and the theives even took the kids bouncy castle!

I need to get my saddle sorted ASAP so any advise would be appreciated, I want my horse to be measured and an appropriate saddle fitted to his shape etc as he needs to still gain condition and top line to his back area so a proper fit is essential.

I am so sorry about all your tack, how awful!

Can I ask where you are, I am from Stockport and slightly worried now, PM if you like.

I use Crewe saddlery, always been brilliant with my lot. Not local though but will come out to you x
 
@sammyDingle were in Hazel Grove/Highlane area, I'd just be extra vigilant, I'm kicking myself as I was going to take my saddle etc home to clean last night but decided against it as I already had my boot full!

Yes Ive used Horse Hound and Rider once before but the lady is currently away on holiday, but I may just wait for her and see if she's got anything that fits him. Thanks for your help!
 
I saw that on Facebook, I thought it must be the same yard.

Did any one see anything? I'm so gutted for you I really am. HHR do have a fitter but I love Crewe, I think they charged about £30 mileage for me and I'm in mottram
 
Yeh it will be us! I'm gutted but everyone on the yard is in the same boat. It's worse for the riding school as they now have hardly any saddles for their lessons etc. great thank you I will give them a call, it might be worth us all getting them to look at all our horses that need new saddles at the same time so we can try and get them all sorted at once. No no one saw anything, they've done it in the night, and its obviously been a well planned procedure as they knew where everything was. The police are involved so we just hope they get caught!
 
Can't help as wrong area but just to say so sorry this has happenend- these people really are scum. I hope the police find them. Saddlers sometimes do a reduced call out for multiple fittings so might be worth trying to get everyone sorted at the same time.
 
Thank you so much! Not looking forward to telling my daughter that her tack for her pony is gone as well as my own horses! All the children at the farm will be so upset, but people like them don't think of other people's feelings do they! 😡
