I have a competition, livery yard just outside Norwich. Opened up my barn this moring and my tack room had been broken into and all my tack taken. My livery tack rooms had been left but they had targeted mine with my 3 much loved well worn Devoucoux Biaritz jumping saddles, a brand new single flap Crosby saddle, equisage equipment and around 15 different types of bridle, jumping, showing and various! A whole host of bits accumulated over the years and everything irreplacable to me! Please can people keep their ears open for the Devoucoux saddles as i'v had them for years and love them very much. I will put up a £1000 reward for the recovery of them and preferably the people who stole it all on the end of a pitchfork!!!

I'm really sorry to hear this, we recently had all of our stuff stolen, and you don't realise how much you accumulate over the years and it's SO unfair that somebody can just come along and take it all. I really hope you get it all back and sorted soon xx

I suspect that cases like this get followed home from shows - the horses are often in the wagons, or tied up outside with tack on display for all to see. It is easy to follow a large, marked horse lorry home and then come back later to rob the yard.

Now I am really worried, yesterday whilst we were at the yard a blue car (I know I know but I am so crap at recognising cars- drives hubby to distraction) pulled up into the gateway and two men got out and checked out the hinges on both sides of the gate leading into the yard. They then got in their car and drove off before anyone could challenge them. I will put a notice up tonight to tell people to be on the lookout.

Another Norfolk peep here, will keep eyes and ears open but suspect they will be long out of the county, which is where informing people on forums such as this really can help.

Fingers crossed something turns up, were they postcoded or marked in anyway?
