All tack rooms broken into, the bit you attach you padlocks too was cut out of the door. Saddles bridles and headcollars taken, all leather.

Thanks for the warning, which side of Harrogate are you on. We are in Wetherby, there are a few big yards on the harrogate side very very close to us. Any further information you could give would be great PM me if you prefer.

Our yard got done over a few months ago (west yorks) .....also shortly before York sales.....perhaps worth a visit for you?

Hi,
I was from the yard that was broken into on Monday night. I'd rather not say where EXACTLY it was because of security reasons but it was around harrogate area. Luckily nothing of mine was taken, however all together, 3 saddles, 3 bridles, 2 leather headcollars and a lantern were taken. Every single locked tackroom (8 altogether) was broken into and the locks still remained the next morning. We have notified the police and they are now doing checks regularly. We are also suspicious as we have discovered that the york sales is on this week. My friend's horse trailer was also stolen a couple of weeks ago, however they managed to find it on ebay and have gone with the police to claim it back- arresting the thief. However, the trailer was taken many miles away from the place where it was kept so people are stealing from far away.
LOCK IT UP OR TAKE IT HOME AS THEY HAVE EVEN BEEN KNOWN TO BREAK INTO BIGGER LIVERY YARDS WITH CAMERAS AND PEOPLE LIVING ON SITE.

Sorry didn;t mean to quiz you before, just last time there was a speight of thefts in Knaresbrough a local woman was arrested and all the tack found at a local yard!

OH SH*T, Were over in otley/arthington! I hope that they dont come too far towards us! Bob doesnt want his tack to be stolen!
