Our small yard was broken into last night. They also broke into the timber yard next door. Two fences between our stable yard and the wood yard were damaged and we found tyre tracks in the field. We aren't sure whether they had planned to 'do' both places or if they thought going through our yard would give them access to the timer yard and may as well take our tack as well.

9 saddles were stolen and a number
of bridles/breastplates etc.

O gosh poor you :( it seems we were lucky, other people at the yard are having trouble with their insurance. Saying that if over 10 horses the tackroom should be alarmed :S

Unbelievably they returned last night and stole thousands of pounds of timber from the wood yard. This time instead of through our fields they accessed it through a bridlepath and even took out an old gate post and hunting rails that made it too narrow for them to get through!
