Hi,
I,m a new forum user and have been reading some posts regarding tack thefts. As a victim of the same, you all have my sympathy. We too had the dog doped, which fortunately recovered. A trailer was taken to transport the tack, they took an older IW but it was secured with wheel lock. Regretfully, it didn't cause them any problem to remove. The newer trailers are datatagged in every panel and it's a good idea to postcode the roof. BUT some buyers just don't care where their cheap trailers come from.
None of our tack was ever found and neither was the trailer. This type of theft is on the increase and I have no idea what the answer is to prevention.
