tail chewing

i have a 4mth old foal who is chewing everythinh inc rugs & tails of his mum & gelding companion,they all live out 24/7 with shelter, ad lib hay & twice daily feeds,any ideas how to stop the tail chewing? i have tried a bitter apple spray which didnt deter him.They dont have much tail left & i really want him to stop!!! Thankyou x

It is a common thing for foals to do!
I have a mare here that had a lovely tail one evening and was 'docked' the next morning.

Get the liquid Cribbox spray that on, it is not sticky like the paste and works well.

Dip them in petrol!
