A total tail docking ban has been put forward as well as making it illegal to take dogs to ROI to be docked instead. I know this is where Beastie ended up going to be done.

Slightly o/t, though still relevant to docking, the 1st dobermann undocked champion has been made up. Its strange but the tail makes him look like a totally different breed imo, yet I've seen loads of spaniels and not really noticed which have and haven't got tails.

With the amount of damage our Spaniel's tail causes, I'd happily have had him docked!
Joking apart, I don't really see why tail docking is still done. Unless there are any reasons it's done for working dogs (fairly sure there are strong reasons for JR's & Spaniels to be docked) then I don't really see why it should still be allowed to go on.
