Hi
I have a 2 yr old pony who as a yearling had his tail chewed quite short by his field mate, who was sold the end of last year. His tail doesnt seem to be growing back though and since it's been at least 3 months since it was last chewed i would have thought it should have started to grow back. He is fed spillers youngstock mix so should be getting all the nutrients he needs??
Does any1 know anything about this or is there something hes lacking that I should give him? Any advice would be really good!!:)

Any product that is good for hoof horn will be good for hair growth as well. Don't forget that most horses are bust shedding their winter coats at the moment so your youngster may look a bit moth eaten during the summer. But if you feed him eg Farriers Formula then you should see an improvement by late summer.
