Tail rake for pulled tails

Hi, yes I do, I can't pull with my fingers i'm useless at it, but can do it perfect with the rake, I also do my mares mane as it is very thick and it thins it right out, have to be careful with them though it's easy to get carried away, and only do them from underneath otherwise sometimes the mane/tail looks a bit "torn" if done from the top.

Im going to go against general consensus here - some love some hate (like the mane ones - I dont like the mohawk look!!). I really dislike them, the first time you use them yes its looks ok (nothing like or IMHO as good as pulling) but its when the beggar grows back! You cant just keep taking the odd bits out like you can if you pull properly as you have to wait for it to be long enough to pull again almost from scratch! I ruined my horses tail using one and am now pulling a bit properly and letting the rest grow back :(.

But I do think they are great if your horse doesnt like having his tail pulled the proper way!! :)

And DONT do it in a bad mood............I did today and well...............:( If a jobby ever gets stuck I will use his tail. The one I got doesnt PULL the hair out......it seems to cut them. My old lost Oster one was the same.

Ive used one with great results on his mane which is like a bush! I first tried it on his tail which turned out really well but that night he rubbed it and made a right mess of it. I was wary on his mane as its so thick but it turned out much better than I expected, better than a solo comb. I havent had to plait it yet so cant comment on that as I found it bitty to plait when using the solo comb.
