tails on hunt hats

As I when hunting in the 1950/60's only Masters, comittee & hunt staff wore the ribbon @ the back down, us normal mortals either cut the tails off or sewed them up.

This is still done today, mine are sewn inside my hat.

I also do not have ribbon tails on my hat. Do see people out that have not sewn then up though.

I wear a crash hat now, so no tails to worry about.....
