Didn't know where to stick this sooo... xD

I have a TB type bay gelding and I'm really not certain what I want to do with his tail xD It was pulled when I bought him a few months ago, but I thought I wanted to let it grow so I could plait it...
And then he rubbed it a few times...
And now it's sort of long-ish and a little tufty and just looks silly :P But I'm not very confident about pulling tails, simply because I'll make a mess of it! (have done manes though...)

What do you think? Leave it to grow so I can plait it, or just pull it? Has anyone got any tips about pulling tails? Photos of pulled tails done well??

Oh, and we don't show or anything... just dressage/jumping... so it shouldn't effect turnout for classes... :/

I jsut pull it, easy to maintain, and if he didnt rub it when pulled, but does not its not, then pulled obv works better and if you dont like pulling, then the tail rakes work a treat

I pull over a period of time so that I dont overdo it, every weekend I do a bit more in the vain hope that any tufty unruly bits will have made themselves known during the previous week. I have a pic of my horses tail in a half done state somewhere!
