Hi
Im looking to book our annual break away with the horses for september. Live in Mid Wales but willing to travel (but not hours and hours!)
Does anyone have any recommendations that does self catering and takes horses and has fabulous riding?

Been googling for hours now, so if anyone can recommend places, that would be great!

What about the New Forest, or is that too far, I can let you have some details of horsey b&b's if you think it might be a goer.

It looks beautiful there Sue but its a bit too far, thinking more shropshire, gower peninsula, within about 2.5 hours of Mid Wales would be great.

Someone on here was going to a place near Breen sands not long ago. If u can find that thread you might be able to ask whoever it was. There was sand livery if I remember correctly.

We went to the Gower last year for a short non horsey break and there was somewhere near rhossili bay that was advertising and there were bridle paths that led straight onto the beach and I thought how fab it looked. Sorry I can't help more.

Cumbria is maybe too far?? But google or fb search "off the beaten track rides" the hacking is fantastic (it's v local to me) and Chris is lovely :D

Me and a friend were gong to plan a 'join the dots' holiday and trek from her house (near pontardawe) to my house near Aberystwyth, stopping off at different places each night. Convinced we could do it with enough planning!
Sadly this plan was scuppered when my horse went back to his owner!

Thanks everyone. Julesrules, I found a place at rhosilli bay which does horse b&b so emailed them as it does look fab there.
Will google that tiramisu.
