We are taking the doggles to Robin Hoods Bay camping at easter.

They will be be with us for most/if not all of the time but if we want to go out for a meal/to the pub without pain in the bum Star and Alfred, do you think it would be acceptable to leave them in the car (at night/evening so not hot) for a couple of hours?

They will have their beds and they are used to being in the car a lot.

Thanks.

I have three I take camping with me - we have a huge crate in the back of the car and they get left in that if we want to pop out for a meal in the evening. If one of us pops to the toilet we just quickly check that they are alright. Works very well. Just make sure they dont get hot.

My dog is happy to be in the car and I figure at least he's with me on the journey rather than be home alone for even longer. Having said that he is only left in the car if its dark cos bully's can get stolen.

When we go camping we take 7 of our 10 dogs with us. Gets a bit cramped in the caravan but we wouldn't have it any other way. On a night 3 sleep in the caravan for in our van outside, when we go for a meal we leave them in the van. (its big)

makes me giggle just thinking of how naughty Minnie was in Italy camping with us, she would go to sleep with us, like the good girl she is then when we were asleep she would sneak out and go exploring, we didnt realize until one night we heard all hell breaking loose, masive banging and crashing, cats skreetching and loud italian screeming, she had gone over to one of the italians tents and found their cat - she then chased through about 5 tents knocking everything flying and causing such an almighty latin fuss - it was so embarassing - she then got a crate for the night!

lol, Is it one of those things that is funny when you look back at it but it wasn't that funny at the time?

Naughty girl!

oh yes, definatly NOT funny at the time, i cant understand italian at the best of times, let alone having just had a staffy wake them up in the middle of the night!!! - it was a fab site so we did stay, just snook off and moved pitch! and they seemed to get over it quite quickly! i have to say generally the french and italians were very relaxed about dogs and cats hanging around on the campsites and the beaches - much more so than the UK
