Hello,
I am moving to Australia and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with taking horse items such as rugs (not turn out), saddle clothes and travel boots to Australia and clearing customs and quarantine. I have looked into it and you can take them, but are warned that they may/will be stopped by quarantine and cleaning costs can be expensive if they deem it requires it. You even get charged for destroying it if you don't want to pay for more cleaning. Obviously I will have it all clean before sending out, but just wondering if any one else has sent items out with a move and how strict and costly it was.

The saddle clothes are all good expensive competition ones and the rugs are expensive coolers and competition type rugs, I'm not taking any turn out rugs, so hope this helps.

If anyone has had any experience of this of knows anyone who has I would love to hear from you.
